Fortnite

Each week we have a good look at some of Lava Esports’ most popular PC games. This week we look in detail at the world-famous first-person shooter – Fortnite!

Thanks to the game’s huge worldwide appeal and easy access it is enjoyed by over 125 million gamers globally and is recognised as YouTube’s most watched game.

Anyway, let’s have a look in more detail at what makes Fortnite one of the world’s most popular games.

Fornite is primarily a survival or last-man-(or team)-standing game. Competitors must defeat all other opponents in the game and be the last person/team remaining (out of 99 others) in order to win. It requires excellent strategic thinking to become successful.

The game can be played either as an individual or as part of a team of friends. We recommend playing as a team. Firstly, because it is much more fun to work together with friends to win. Secondly, it’s a lot easier if you have friends to support you and help you if you’re in trouble. Winning as an individual is really difficult – but definitely worth a try once in a while.

One of the coolest things about playing Fortnite at Lava Esports is that you can communicate with your squad through our pro-gamer headphones. This really does make you feel like you are all in the game together!

At the beginning of the game you will find yourself parachuting onto an island. With only an axe with you upon your landing, you must search for more advanced weaponry and protection to help you on your quest. The better your arsenal and your protection there more likely you are to defeat your opponents and win!

You are constantly updated on how many people remain in the game so you know exactly how far away you are from victory.

What’s that? An electrical storm is coming?! Yes! That’s right! Fortnite uses an electrical storm towards the end of games if there are too many people left. The storm attacks players who have damaged other players the least during the game. To make sure you have an advantage at the end try and defeat as many other players as possible.
